In-folio (28,8 x 20,5 cm.); 10 cc.nn., 59 cc., 1 bl., 14 cc.nn, 1 bl.; with two woodcuts  (15,8 x 12,9 cm) and 30 full-page calligrams in red and black, poems arranged in such a way that it forms a thematically related image. Bound in XVIII century half-leather.

Comments:

First and only early edition of the calligrams by Fulda’s Abbot and future bishop Rabanus Maurus.  Masterpiece of Thomas Anshelm’s printing press in Pforzheim it has an extraordinary typographic impact with woodcuts and figures printed in red and black.
